Barre Pilates: What to expect from a barre class

Inspired by the poise of ballet and the precision of Pilates, barre Pilates is where controlled movement meets a deep, muscle-shaking burn. It’s low-impact, high-energy and incredibly effective, and all wrapped up in one elegant but sweaty session.Whether you danced as a kid or have never touched a barre in your life, barre Pilates at The Loft is designed to challenge your body in a fun and focused workout. You’ll move, pulse, sweat and leave feeling stronger.

What is barre Pilates?

Barre Pilates is a fusion of Pilates, ballet-inspired movement and low-impact strength training. You’ll use a ballet barre, small props and your own body weight to work deep into your muscles, especially your glutes, legs, core and arms.

It’s not a dance class, but it will improve your posture, coordination and body awareness. Expect high reps, small pulsing movements and deep muscle activation that’ll have you feeling the fire.
