YOGA
Your guide to Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Hot Yoga
At The Loft, yoga is more than just stretching. It’s a chance to reconnect with your body, reset your mind and move with intention. Whether you're craving a strong, flowing practice or a deeply relaxing release, we’ve got you covered.
We offer two yoga styles in our studios, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Hot Yoga, each designed to support you in different ways. You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need fancy leggings. You just need to show up, breathe and move.
Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa is a dynamic, flow-based style of yoga where movement and breath come together. You’ll move through creative sequences that build heat, strength and mobility, all guided by your breath.
It’s strong, sweaty and energising but always accessible. Your instructor will offer variations so you can move at your own pace and challenge yourself when you’re ready.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time. Yin classes at The Loft consist of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body including the hips, pelvis, inner thighs and lower spine.
These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.
Hot Yoga
Flow through your Vinyasa with the added challenge of a heated 32 degree room. This is a dynamic class that detoxifies your whole body and increases the mental challenge of a flow class. Experience in Vinyasa Yoga is recommended.
The Loft also offers Original Hot Yoga classes, which are the classic 26 yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises practiced in a heated studio. It can build strength, endurance, concentration, balance and flexibility. The beauty of this yoga is in the repetition of the postures which make it the perfect benchmark to gauge where your body and mind are at.

Yoga frequently asked questions
Is yoga suitable for beginners?
Yes, both Vinyasa and Yin classes at The Loft are beginner-friendly, and our instructors are here to support you through every pose. However, Hot Yoga classes are recommended for those with some Vinyasa experience.
Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
Not at all. Yoga helps improve flexibility over time. You don’t need to have it before you start.
What should I bring to a yoga class?
Just a water bottle and yourself. Mats and props are provided. Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in.
What’s the difference between Vinyasa and Yin Yoga? Vinyasa is a flowing, strength-based practice that builds heat. Yin is slower, more meditative and focuses on deep tissue release. They complement each other beautifully.
